Money Talks, Wealth Whispers

In today’s culture, financial success is often loud. We see it in flashy cars, designer clothes, and carefully curated social media posts. That is the essence of "money talking. " It begs to be seen, admired, and envied.
But true wealth—especially wealth built on a foundation of faith—whispers. It is quiet, steady, and secure. It doesn't need others' validation because its security isn't found in a bank account but in the Lord.
As Christians, we are called to view money not as a status symbol, but as a tool for stewardship. When we blur that line, we step out of humility and into pride.
God’s View on a Haughty Spirit
The Bible is incredibly clear about the dangers of pride, especially when it is fueled by earthly success. As our bank accounts grow, the temptation to rely on ourselves rather than on God grows with them. This leads to a haughty spirit—an attitude of superiority that God actively opposes.
Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."

1 Timothy 6:17 "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment".
Money is fleeting. If our identity is tied to how loud our money can talk, we are building our foundation on sand. A haughty person trusts in their own riches, but a humble person knows that every good gift comes from above.
The Superiority of a Humble and Contrite Heart
You can have millions of dollars in investment accounts, real estate portfolios, and business assets, but in the eyes of eternity, none of that compares to the posture of your heart. God is not impressed by our net worth; He is looking at our spiritual depth.
Psalm 51:17 "My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise".
James 4:6 "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble".
A contrite heart is actively aware of its need for grace. It recognizes that no amount of financial independence can buy spiritual salvation. When we approach our finances with humility, we start asking better questions. Instead of asking, "How can this money make me look?" we ask, "How can I use this wealth to quietly serve the Kingdom?"
Wealth Whispers Because It Is at Peace
Quiet wealth focuses on generosity behind closed doors, building generational stability, and finding contentment in what God has already provided. It doesn't need to shout to prove its worth.
Let this blog be a reminder that true prosperity is found in a modest spirit. Let the world's money talk. We will let our wealth whisper.
God Bless you all
With Love,
Dave
